Obituary of Eileen R Britt

Eileen Britt passed away peacefully on August 4, 2023, at home with family by her side after a long battle with cancer.

Born March 2, 1934, in New York City she had resided in Sarasota since 1989.  After a career in advertising, she retired to the area and found a wonderful life which included plenty of golf, many friends, and her sisters joining her in Sarasota.  Eileen was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Joseph Britt, and her sister Patricia Dermont.

She is survived by her sons Patrick Britt of New York and Timothy Britt of Sarasota, grandchildren Katherine Tarzian Britt and Will Tarzian Britt of New York, sister Maureen Brennan of Hobe Sound Fl as well as many nieces and nephews.

Eileen was a loving Mother, woman who always was able to find the good in everyone she loved and met.  A fierce woman with a fighting spirit who broke the glass ceiling in the NYC advertising world.  Her place in this world will be missed by many.  She is at peace now with her Lord Jesus Christ.
