Obituary of Janice "Jaye" Abbott

Janice “Jaye” Abbott peacefully passed away on February 12, 2023.  Jaye was born in Detroit, Michigan and went to St. Veronica’s High School.  After graduation Jaye moved to Florida in 1958 and worked as a children's dental receptionist. 

Jaye was predeceased in death by her son Richard “Rick” Abbott of Ft. Meyers, Florida and parents George and Evelyn Mascia.

Jaye is survived by her beloved husband John “Ben” Abbott, her sister Martha (Jerry) Strickler of Sarasota and step-son Lee Abbott, also of Sarasota.

Jaye will be missed by her four grandsons; Richard Abbott, Cody Abbott, Ryan Abbott of Parrish and Brian Abbott of Sarasota.

On March 4, 2023 at 11:00 am a memorial service will be held at Covenant Life Church PCA, 8490 McIntosh Road, Sarasota, FL  34238 (941) 926-4777.
